Oh....and pretty low per year....add the $51,000,000 dollars they had to pay the Japanese team just to talk to him!!! So if they pay him 10,000,000 a year....add another 10,000,000 dollars to that.....its costing the Sox around $20,000,000 dollars a season for this "Great" pitcher!!!!!  |

This could be a disaster for the Sox if they sign him and he flushes out! Not negative Dave just realistic! I think they could have better spent that kind of money!

They key word is "could" he also "could" be a wonderboy... I think you'll see him somewhere in between... 16M for the washed up petitte or 19 for a young up and comer.... who knows... PS....that was stupid money the Yanks paid for Petite....what has he ever done??? Win a Cy Young award???? Big freakin deal.....try winning 2 or 3!
