Are you running Windows XP?

Microsoft has a program built into it that generates pop ups, even when not surfing. Seems like a lil bit of advertising to me.

If it is from XP, and you want to disable them, just let me know and I can set you up.

you MUST be using internet explorer instead of the firefox browser then,,,,which has automatic pop up ad blocking now...
