Your "Squid-l-Pop" is an exact copy of a Warbel's "Billy-the-Squid" from the early sixties. See my some plugs thread.

Why even try.........

I'll check it out and that's crazy. Being on the West Coast and only into custom plugs for the last year, (prior to that all i fished were gibbs polaris poppers ) have never seen one of those, heck, I have never actually even seen a habbs needle or held a vintage pikie before.
I solely based my idea on a slider squid that i received from H'Islander but since pencils work so good on the West coast, i modified it to what you see in the pics. that is the fourth generation of squid-l-pop as I went though three other designs before finding the right combo that works on the West Coast.

I checked out that squid you were speaking of. i would not say an "exact" copy as that plug appears to be used more as a slider and not a popper. I think the Atom Vinyl Squid is really closer to function as the plug.
By they way, man i was drooling going though that thread... I have never seen or heard of lots of the plugs shown.
Thanks for sharing the link and thanks to all that posted the pretties in that thread.
