Sooner or later you're going to realize just as I did that there's a difference between knowing the path and walking the path. - Morpheus

i usually have two knives on me at ALL times... all my tools have to
be as "sharp" as a razor.

i have weapons at the ready strategically positioned near my doors.

for fishing i usually have a buck filet knife strapped on my hip.

in my kitchen i have a sword where i can get to it in a hurry.

i keep a dingo ....that can hear a pin drop.

i sleep very lightly next to my shotgun.

i dont trust anyone farther than i can throw them unless they earned it.

Like SALTY...i have been burned way to many times.

I keep a good, sturdy fixed blade knife on me. I forget the exact brand. Contrary to popular belief its not for fighting off sharks, breaking locks on fences, or killing people on who are in my spot. Its for cutting through all that supposedly "non-ripable materail" your gear's made of. Lets say you get knocked down your bag, belt, what ever is wedged under a rock or something and you can't get up. Now you're about to drown as waves conitiue to wash over you, but you don't because you cut the bag strap and save your life rather than fumbling with the strap. Completely hypothetical, hope it doesn't happen, but it could.

There's three ways to do things: the right way, the wrong way, and the Max Power way.

I carry a basic 6" filet knife with the tip blunted, it is easier to gut, scale fish on the water then in the kitchen
