i'm going to try the 60 lb breakaways this year. some north shore friends of mine fished em last year. they seemed great.

I only use a albright/uniknot only never trusted snaps. an old timer told
me a long time ago to tie direct and He has 7 50's to his name so I trust
his advice.

learn the homer rhode loop knot and keep plyers and snippers handy at all times.
snaps are for canvass. knots are for fish.

some guys swear bye added attraction of snaps like they swear bye tailwraps but for me it's knot or nuthing.
