I used to use the Linseed mix but I had to wait at least a week to prime them, sometimes closer to two as it got colder, or the Primer would stay tacky.
I tried the Val-oil and I could prime in a day, 2 tops and I haven't had the Primer issue since I switched.

 50 - 50 mix works well - I used the thinner because I had it and didn't feel like going to the local Homie. Drys quickly and does a good job. Stinks but not a bad as straight turps. will try xylene with the next batch.  |

linseed sux! it takes 4-5 days before you can prime, and after a little while it starts to bleed through the paint.
