I sharply lift the rod and then let it fall and repeat, then do it again, not fast not slow just steady, usually the fish takes on the way up thats why the hits are so hard

this is a good thread I will have to start to chuttyhunk my live eels now I always wondered way sometimes my eels would roll as they started to die off or weeken.Can always learn something new.
