Turkeys always made but NEVER reaches my plate. Being Portugeeez, we have quite the buffet line, and I prefer other things to turkey. Turkey will be eaten all week, why eat it on Thursday?

Pork & Little Necks
Shrimp Mocambique
Striper Casserole (not this year though)
Spinach Dip
Brocoli Casserole
Octupus (Stewed or Roasted)
Cod Fish Balls
of course, the veggie fixings
All kinds of portugeee desserts
Punkin pie, squash, apple, pecan, blooberry of course...

Our Thanksgivings always consist of at LEAST 20 people. And there is always a 2nd sitting after the power nap and short visits to spousal parents.

...it finally happened, there are no more secret spots

OYSTERS. Welfleet Oysters. Going to pick up 50 of em tomorrow.

Raw. all Raw.

Accompaniments will be
Lemon
Cocktail
Tabasco
Horseradish
Minunet (sp?) Sauce
Wine.

That is our thanksgiving traditional meal. [for those who won't eat the oysters we will have all the boring old crap like turkey, stuffing, etc...]

It's heartening to see the similarities we have with each other and on the other hand the interest and curiosity what others make has piqued. Thanksgiving is hands down my favorite holiday, bar none (except maybe TCTFFN). We're keeping it small this year, but no less traditional as my cousin Oceanus would have wanted.
Free Range bird(who should just about meeting his maker)brined for 24 hours
Sweet Potatoes this year trying it in pie form
also Mashed
Creamed Brussels Sprouts and possibly creamed peas and onions
also going with the Green Bean Casserole and Durkee Onions
wife's Pennsy Dutch Baked Corn
Homemade Stuffing and Stuffies for those who partake
Rolls
Oh yea, gravy, scratch from pan drippings
10 year old's, get away from me, I don't need your help, Pumpkin Pie.
Variety of wine (Yellow Tail Cabernet Sauv my preference)

We wish you all the happiest of Thanksgivings.

Pretty standard Turkey/stuffing/spuds/yams/string bean casserole affair but I bet since we still have a load of carrots still growing we will have a carrot dish, and I bet we have a Scallop Ceviche appetizer...yeah baby!

Actually, I like Xmas dinner...fresh goose done on the rotisserie (outdoors). This is an outstanding meal. (I love the crispy!!! is there anything better then goose fat?)
