Nice pics, Reminds me of the time we went up the Kangamangus highway and my kids said "think we will see a moose dad ?" surprizingly about 5 minutes later as we were driving, just around the bend from the Andriscogan (I'm a bad speller) we saw one, no antlers though... very cool.

Great shotd Larry, Ive seen one moose being chased by 50 tourists into the woods in the White Mts. I have them in my front yard no need to travel.

This moose was very docile....calm and much to himself. There were two cars taking a few quick photos as we approached...they left and we sat for a few photos and the moose slowly headed into the trees....we left and came back by about 40 minutes later and could still see him in the trees.....pulled over and stopped the truck.....gave a couple of smooching sounds his way like I was calling a cat and he took one look at us and came back out like we were old friends.... ....more than likely he just wanted another drink from the pool of water at the roadside but it was funny! I really admire such beautiful animals and I was just in awe having never seen a moose in the wild before...I had always wanted to.....really something to watch!

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

Talked with a bunch of rangers from the white mountains asked them what they feared most in the woods. Hands down all of then said a Bull Moose in the rut. He isn't afraid of anything and is big enough to do a lot of damage when he wants to.

So be careful with the moose this time of year. ThomT

Well aware of the danger Thom...I stayed on the opposite side of the truck....I was afraid a larger parent moose may be nearby....so I was quite careful...had that been a full grown 2000 pound behemoth.....I would have gone on by and watched from up the road....I don't need that trying to mount me!

Almost time to get our fish on!!!
