The Sox offered him a contract that would make him one of the highest paid GM's in baseball. Theo was just to freakin greedy. What the hell does he want? Screw him if he wants to be a greedy SOB.

with the system the sox have in place, i think that they feel they can plug someone else in with no problem, we'll see.

Where does he think he's gonna get a job? Aren't all the GM spots locked up now? Maybe he'll go to AZ and be Josh Byrne's Asst GM!

There's open GM positions in L.A. , Philly, and Tampa Bay. He'll land on his feet.
Stupid move by Sox management letting him get a way. It was nothing to do w/ the money...he just wanted to do his job the way every other GM does it (with the exception of Cashman )
3 Post-season Appearances, including one World Series in 3 years....I guess that just isn't good enough

I heard he was all set to agree to a contract sat. night but then Sunday morning he saw Shank Shaunnessy's column in the globe. It appears Larry Luchino pulled one too many fast ones. It reminds me of Belichick resigning from the jets to get out from under Parcells. |
