"It's like you sang those songs about me"

What was I thinking?
A mountain of a man with a born to kill tattoo tried to cut in, I punched out his front tooth. Ran out the door hood sliding like Bo Duke, what was I thinking?

Johnny cash, Hank Williams (Sr.!), Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard etc...

These are country singers.

I have no idea what kind of music it is they play on CMT, but it ain't country. For sure I like looking at the new crop of ladies, but Brooks and Dunn or that metrosexual chmup married to Faith Hill

Talking

Would you consider the "Sex Pistols" country? I loved them and the Clash!

Why even try.........

you got it Spence, thats the stuff. Hank Williams was one of Americas best songwriters as far as pop simplicity.
"I'm gonna throw my date book over the fence, buy me one for 5 or 10 cents. I'll keep it till its covered with age, cuz Im writing your name down on every page"
Brilliant stuff.
I'd also add Buck Owens, Merle Travis, Hank Thompson and Bob Wills (texas swing!)
There is some good new stuff, Check out: Big Sandy and the Flyrite Boys, Deke #^&#^&#^&#^&erson, retro rockabilly country stuff. Also the Derailers
And fer you geetar fans, you cant beat Chet Atkins, Speedy West and Jimmy Bryant.

Word, Spence.

For a new breed of country called "irongrass", check out Cast Iron Filter. Real nice guys, and real good music. Mandolin, banjo, and all the regular stuff. Live shows -- great redneck fun.

The worst day fishing is better than the best day working. ...Wait a minute, my work IS fishing. Sweet.
