half ball

Sorry to highjack your thread here, but growing up in the city I played a lot of half ball. You would paint the strike zone on the school wall. Then you would take a pimple ball and cut it half (anybogy remember pimple balls?) Your bat was a half a broomstick and it was THE after school game 40 some odd years ago..........

Ah the smell of a new pink ball. Not many new ones around then as they cost 25 cents

Anybody wth a new Mc Gregor hard ball was king of the neighborhood for the year

Then after the cover got knocked off we would tape it with the old cloth electric tape and use it the next year.

LIfe was good.

Canalman,

Is this the one you're looking for?

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...goods&v=glance

If you search amazon, there is also a case of them with the balls for around $35.
