I hear that! Just went thru the exact same thing with my new boat. Marina said they'd install for $90/hr ($60 sounds like a deal). Then I decided to do it myself when one of the mechanics stated there was already a "chaser" (new term to me) was left there after the wiring for the motor was done. Sure enough, a yellow nylon rope was in the center console tied off and down to the transom. Total time about 45 minutes with my neighbor who actually does know what's going on (even knew the term chaser).

Now two of us have learned a new term. Got home today from P/T job that pays for boat and wife had gotten fuse and wired the mutha. Now we gots a working fish finder. Where da fish....Where da fish....

Good job !!

I try and do EVERYTHING myself, I've had work done at shops only to go back and do MY WAY (better). You learn lots every time. Now you know where other stuff is, and sometimes when you're in there you see another issue that should be taken care of and you do it.

Would the dealer to that ??? NOOOOOO!
