I do remember recently having one that was a little bit bent but I'll never know because that particular clip disappeared along with my tiger needle to a large bass when the line broke. It's a reminder to me to always check my line especially at night, but when you are busy catching it's hard to stop.
NIB, no problem for me on penils, but some poppers can be difficult with a cupped face.
TT, I tie the leader to the clip, never had a problem before. Why would I want a micro swivel added? it can slid up and off easier than the thru wire on a plug I would think.
Flap, I almost always use the large size. Only time I use the smaller one is when I am throwing light stuff like those small poppers in the harbor.
