I have a few pvc tubes I keep on my boat that are a bit longer than the sabiki rigs.
The bottom of the tube has a cap glued, the top has a cap not glued,
the top, I also have a slot cut down the tube about 2 inches down to to slip the top of the line through with the the swivel left on the outside of the tube.
I leave the sinker on the rig to store it in the tube.
I drop the sinker in the tube 1st and feed the rig down the tube, catch the swivel through the top of the tube and slip the top cap on, then they are stored standing up in my pilot house.
Drill some holes in the bottom of the tube for drainage if you want to rinse the rigs!
If I'm going to use the rigs on a daily basis, I leave them on the rod with the sinker attached.
Wrap the bottom of the line just before the sinker around the reel handle a few times!
If you want to spend a few $$$ they sell a sibiki rod, that is a hollow tube/ rod!

Uffah,

Sabiki rig is for jigging up macks, herring, shiners, etc for livelining. or just adding to your bait supply if you don't have a livewell. They come in different sizes but hooks are quite small. i only go up in size when the bull macks come in.

cut up a foam pool noodle to size and you can store loads of sabiki rigs
the pvc sabiki rods work great.
