DEFENDING STATE CHAMPION
Xavier High School in CT is where i go and is the team i'm on. lots of hot girls on other teams, too. sailing is a helluva workout in heavy winds, too. it's also pricey.

RFG, you should go to URI. We could use you, and imagine the fall fishing!
As RIJimmy can tell you, housing at URI is the best. Live right in South County, ON THE BEACH. My last house while at URI was in Jerusalem, 100 yards from the west wall. The year before that I lived ON salt (point judith) pond. WITH A DOCK! FOR $400 a month! Usually if you play your cards right you can have the house through may. Can you say WORM HATCH!

I used to surf Fort Point a dozen or so times a year. Never saw anything that stupid there, just people getting sucked out on the outgoing tide or getting hammered into the rocks after wiping out. One of my friends did see a jumper.

cool
I went to Amity High School in Woodbridge. We had a sailing team for a few years. won the nationals in 1976. first public high school to do so. it was pretty fun. YCYC was our home spot. Used to practice with yalies like Dave Perry, John Mckee, Peter isler, etc. It was pretty good practice....
good luck this season. when are the new englands ?

we went to nationals this past fall, we did crappy, we only sent 2 kids, lol. we're really good at team racing, though. all we need are some bigger guys, as we've got 3 over 150. our coach is paul haye, was on the olympic team a few years back, than broke his leg and didn't sail in them. we sail @ pettapaug (sp?) yacht club in essex on 420's. I love JY's though, especially seeing i'm a crew and the pulleys for the jib line make it easy on me, with little resistance. suprisingly, we're incredibly mellow, esp. for the only team in our school to win a state campionship this millenium.

Rogers highschool sailing team. i think we got 4th in the nationals in 92. I used to love racing at the coastguard acadamy in those FJ's... A bit tippy when your used to 420's, but i loved them as they handled like a laser, and lasers were my schtick.. Tabor always kicked our ass, and if i remember right, we smoked Xavier several times
