But yeah, see if there are any windows updates available to patch your explorer. If there is none, try ad-aware and spyblaster and also go into safe-mode and run your NAV(make sure virus def are updated before doing so)... Sounds like you may have some corrupted system files maybe? Have you run scandisk and checkdisk?
