Interesting stuff On the needle/spinner, yes, they will work. Couple of things to keep in mind. A willow leaf blade adds some vibration and decent amount of flash, colorado blade adds more vibration/thump in the water Both will give the plug some lift, more so with a colorado blade. By this I mean on retrieve they'll cause a sinking plug to ride higher in the water column than the same plug without the blade. I have one that will sink, almost tail down, but even a slow, steady retrieve will have it crawling on top pretty quick. In this case, the colorado is much better, especially if the weight is more towards the tail Try it both ways and watch/listen as the plug gets closer
