A Cotton Cordell Redfin is a plastic Scandinavian-style "minnow" swimmer like a Bomber or a Mambo Minnow. I like the blue/silver and the black/silver ones.

Take a hot needle and poke a hole in the head of the plug. Inject 10-15 cc of water, mineral or cod liver oil (you might need a bigger gauge needle to inject oil), then plug up the hole with a toothpick and seal with 2-part epoxy.

For some reason, and I can't explain it, the Redfin's hold the fluids better than Bombers or Mambo Minnows do. I think oil is better b/c it doesn't evaporate like water will, but oil is more viscous and you need a suitable delivery system (narrow-gauge needles in intramuscular hospital syringes won't work with oil but will easily with water).
