Not just the twist ties. How about the heavy duty plastic that some of the toys are in. It took me 15 min. to open a CD player. If I could get some of that plastic I could make one heck of a small row boat.

And to make sure none of the twist ties slip, they're covered in layers of tape that could be used to keep tiles on a space shuttle.

Once you get the toy our of the box, you then get to apply the 275 little decals to the parts of the toy that you can't get even one finger into.

hmmm...I thought this thread was going to help explain why some people feel the need to save thousands of the bread twist ties...or better yet the millions that you get with the trash bags...who uses these for trash bags?????

twist 'os

take a twist tie and then with a sharp knife remove the plastic or paper covering it and you have a thin gauge wire that can help clean out windshield washer nozzles and spray paint nozzles too
not to mention carburater fuel jets on small engines without wrecking them with something larger.

Ain't that the truth, Mike! Unless you got razor blades for fingernails, you usually need a boxcutter to get the damn things open, and then you have to deal with all that security tape. WTF?

Try explaining to a 7 year old why Santa put an unremoveable security tag on a watchband - inside a sealed box

Told him the North Pole was a rough neighborhood . . . that's why we could never actualy go there ( oops )

My girls get a sh*tload of Barbies every year. I solved the twist tie problem with a small pair of wire cutters. Then all I have to deal with is that plastic strip sewn into the hair

I do the same thing a good pair of dykes and no more ties . every toy my girls get x2 are harder and harder to open . next will be a grenade . you know why they do it ? at night in all stores manaquins and toys come to life . they sometimes dont make it back to their boxes in the am . this way all they can do is watch the manaquins and scream . ever said " how many times have I picked up this toy " ? they play at night and never go back to their right spots . if you are up early and turn the lights on real fast you may be able to see them scramble about on the floor . you have to be faster than when you want to see if the fridge light really goes out when you close the door .

You know what they call a lesbian Canadian in the NW ?

A Klondike

Those twist ties are good for tying up the multitude of wires coming from a computer, phone, etc.
