Hey what model of the inductor did you get I have a bunch of these (the 250*s )Got one new in box but had to re-epoxy the mag plate to the side of the spool and even one with the factory left hand conversion. Also a couple of the 255*s(with the level wind) but I know they also made a 249 and havent seen one Yet. That squidder looked like a black one(but could have been the picture) which should have been in an earlier green box with the lable on the end.Black was the original color.I have them in the early black with plastic spools and both shades of the red.I even bought a two speed side mount transmission set up that gives the squidder a 15:1 gear ratio in high and still has a 3:1 in low. I dont know what it was used for but doubled the weight of the reel and sticks out an exta two inches on the handle side.They must have some fast fish on the West coast and muscles in crap to cast with that thing on there after the first half hour.suppose it would be better as trolling but then what would the point of buying a squidder.
