The guys that can afford the Lami blanks will tell you to grab those. Guys like me... well I have used a retail 40-50 dollar Daiwa rod this past season. I liked it so much I purchased the same online for only about 20 something. Many here would consider it an el cheapo rod, but it has always served me well. This winter I plan on buying a Tica or Tsunami rod and seeing how much better a fishing experience it will be. I still can't afford the Lami experience, though. I can't wait for spring to find out if the more expensive rod really is that much better.
