Paul and Pete -

Way more lives would have been saved if we all were vaccinated.

AND...

the lockdowns didn't do any good. They did meaningful damage to kids.

Two things can be true at the same time. But you won't hear WDMSO or Pete ever admit the lockdowns were an over-reaction (even though Trump oversaw them), because they think that's being critical of the left, and we can't have that. Not ever.

It's completely, absolutely, 100% fair and true to say that Republicans are keeping vaccination rates down.

The lockdowns are hurting children who didn't get a say in the matter. Let's refuse to discuss it, because you assume it's not politically beneficial to do so.

sounds like the giant corporations profiting off of vaccination need to spend some money in the right places to help their bottom line....

I can't see why people are stubborn about not getting it, unless you have zero co-morbidities.

I don't see how the data could be any more clear, the vaccines drastically reduce your risk of getting a serious case.

My best guess is that because the government has gotten so many parts of this so laughably wrong, people (mostly conservatives I guess) are very skeptical of anything the government tells them. And put me in the category of people who aren't interested in hearing ANYTHING that Faucci says, about anything. During the 2024 campaign, I want to hear all the republicans running, tell me how soon they plan on firing him if they win the general.

But I trust my own physician completely, known him forever, he graduated from John Hopkins, and if I felt I couldn't trust his opinion on the vaccine, he wouldn't be my doctor. He told me to get the vaccine, told me when he thought it was safe to have my kids get it.

I also have bad lungs (maybe because my parents smoked, I keep meaning to sue them), so I'm at a little more risk.

Almost everybody who is dying, is unvaccinated. It doesn't get much more clear than that, does it?

biggest reason is because nobody can say with certainty what the long-term unintended consequences may or may not be for people that get it....it's that simple....you get this vaccine hoping it won't have unintended consequences....it is beneficial apparently, if you are old or in poor health....you are going to see vax and booster rates decline considerably because they can no longer scare people into thinking they need to get vaccinated or probably die sometime soon....

I think lockdowns did good and prob. saved lives. It is time to let us get back to somewhat normal. We were prob. lucky w/Omicron in that it was milder than delta. I'll still wear a mask at times and other times no.

here's a question....if you say the lockdowns did good and probably saved lives...they probably extended some of the lives of people over 75 with 4 or more co-morbidities, as they constituted most of the deaths..and then there were those under 75 most with serious health issues...

how many previously physically and mentally healthy people have had their lives shortened either immediately or over the long term as a result of the lockdowns?
