Lindsay Smith was gunned down in Salem as she left work by an ex-boyfriend in an attempted murder suicide. Her request for renewed restraining order had been denied.... Lindsay has a marathon road to recovery ahead of her, as does her family. (you can google Salem shooting, or her name) I have already had this talk about relationships and partners with my daughter. It took a bit to make her understand I was not talking specifically about her current relationship, but that this needs be discussed as a teaching moment. It is about how to recognize you need help and where to go to get it. I hope it helps/saves someone pain and anguish in the future. Family first.
