Despite the extrinsic benefits, (vacations, hours, workin w/ sexy college interns) the intrinsic benefits are also quite rewarding. I saw a kid make a 180 degree turn around this year, and new I was an influencing factor. That's the greatest benefit of the job by far (besides the vacations). Anyway, I barely make enough to keep me fishin all season. It's not like I work in CT. Think about it this way. Take what you would pay a babysitter an hour. Then multiply that figure by 30 (# of students in a typical class). Then multiply that figure by 7 (hours per day) then multiply that figure by 5 (days in a work week). I know that sounds a bit ridiculous, but some of us deserve it. I bust my a$$ every day at work (when I am not on this web-site).
