According to former White House aide Bradley H. Patterson Jr. (in his book titled To Serve the President, published in 2010) the estimated cost of running the White House for fiscal year 2008 (during Bush's presidency) was nearly $1.6 billion dollars.
Now about half of that figure (more than $800 million) was related to the Secret Service budget (accounts for almost 57% of the total allocated budget to that agency for 2008) to protect the president and the White House.

So it cost $1.6 billion dollars for 2 years (2x2008 fiscal year at $800 million a year) for secret service to protect the President at that time. 20% of 1.6 billion is $320 million. So the $83 million that it supposedly cost to protect Trump when he played golf for 20% of his two years is only about one fourth of the total for protecting the President at 2008 prices for 20% of two years. That's a lot of money to protect the President. I didn't realize it cost that much. But Trump's costs certainly don't seem out of line. It appears that the golf time wasn't costing more that the normal average cost. Maybe even less.

Your logic is flawed. The cost to run the whitehouse doesn’t stop when trump plays golf.
Nice try.

The fact that you don’t care about the con job this clown has pulled on this country is hilarious.

Drain that swamp. Less government waste. Fiscal conservatism. Family values. All solid republican attributes that I don’t see very much of.

Why should I comment on those things? I’m talking about his flagrant hypocrisy of criticizing pass Presidents for their behavior and saying whatever he had to say to get elected and then to go forth and do even worse by far surpassing what he criticized with his own actions. But if you want to talk about the economy perhaps we can discuss the bankrupted farmers who are suffering from his tariffs. The car plants that are shutting down perhaps due to his Terrace it all just seems to me that he is a fraud. In fact anyone with a brain knows he’s a fraud the question is is his fraudulent behavior in powering your side? Or the other side? And you want to support it or ignore it or resist It.
