				 | Lots of debate on waders vs dry pants, but many cold weather yakers believe a good belt and neoprene waders offers the most cold water protection you can get; assuming you also have a vest on as it's the law this late in the year. |

				 | If it was July or August.. different story.
The wader belt will never act like a dry suit. (Maybe he was wearing a dry suit?).

If your waders fill with water, and they are loose fitting waders, it is close to impossible to pull yourself out of the water and Into your kayak. I’m no angel and I have winter kayaked in waders, but I woke up and realized the danger.

				 | I am not an advocate of wearing waders in a kayak......I don't care what anyone says.....its like wearing cement shoes in a boat! The person who does it will not realize how stupid it was until its too late! |
