yes they're still around Cape Cod as well. Although it took at least 1000 casts to get three fish between two of us. That is not an exaggeration.

It's 95% Over From Shore on CC

Last 7 days I have seen small pods of them around, but very infrequently. The day we celebrated that genocidal maniac was the last time I saw good numbers of them.

In yesterday morning's 15F windchill I even had a hit when they zipped by but no fish brought to the sand. Had 3 casts at them in two hours. It really sucked out there!

At this point in the game, why remain focused on faux-Charlie?
Bass are on the move and feeding heavily.....put yer deadly-#^&#^&#^&#^& back in your pocket and pull out some wood
Before you know it.........IT'S OVER!
We were sitting in a soupy mess of sub-legal to 20# bass ALL DAY on Monday. Looking east and west we could see birds focused in on bass-xplosions...
Quite a bit of it was reachable from shore!!! We didn't boat a single bloofish .................

Get your fish on!!! She's cleared her throat, gargled her spit and ready to start singing!!!!!!! I know bass can be caught into the later months..but the feed is on RIGHT NOW, BIG TIME!!

...it finally happened, there are no more secret spots

Short answer: Because they are the best sport fish in Mass to be caught from shore (on lures) and as long as they are around (and I'm surprised they still are) I'll target them. Not to mention I'm stuck on an odd number of them and need two more.

L A: On south side CC there is no sign of decent bass or blues - at least not larger fish. Adult pogies swimming around unmolested. 2 to 5" peanuts all over. Bass and blues are not seen even pre-dawn, and they should be in these areas I'm fishing. I'd be ready for them if they were there. Now, if I were around RI more often I'd def be putting more time into them as I was yesterday. I'm guessing that's where you've been fishing as your description is very accurate minus a couple 10lb bluefish.
Until these things are 99% gone I'll continue to hit it since it's only a 10 week or so window. Bass - ~30 weeks. To me, a 7lb+ FA is slightly more satisfying than a 30lb bass.
