had a black lab that would swim out after i cast my plug
which was a pain in the butt as i had to retrieve it away
so he never grabbed it in the water like it was a retriever dummy.

i later discovered he was inadvertantly herding the fish so i'd throw it
out there, then do a rapid retrieve, then fire it way to the left or right of the dog
and the fish were honing in on the disturbance trying to see what it was.

Truer words have never been spoken. My dogs sleep, eat, go to the beach, go out on the boat, hike, sleep and eat. Thats my retirment.
