I have said for months that the closest thing they have to normal is Klobuchar. She gets ignored because she refuses to pander to the nuts that run their party.

Trumps the king of identity politics, it the fuel that drives everything he does
And if I remember Ted Cruz won Iowa, until there's only 2 dems on the debate stage it's a shell game , then then we will have only 1 Democrat on the debate stage
With an empty chair seeing Trump will more likely only do rallies, we'll see

i’m pretty sure you have no idea what “identity politics” means. Trump is incredibly vulgar and insulting, but he’s not obsessed with reducing people to their gender, skin color, sexual orientation, blah blah blah. You guys do that incessantly, not my side. Here is a rare case where is absolutely bit the democrats in the ass. And it was beyond glorious, and obviously helps trump.

I'm sure you have no clue about what you speak.
You honestly believe the Trumplican Party is reflective of the composition of this country by any measure or that it has the desire to be?
It consists of:
8% of black voters
20% of hispanic voters
12% of asian voters
Trumpworld is the home of white identity politics and Floridaman plays the chords very well.
Trumplicans feel, to some extent, that the rug is being pulled out from under them — that the benefits they have enjoyed because of their race, their groups’ advantages, and their status atop the racial hierarchy are all in jeopardy.
That more attention needs to be given to the dire circumstances of working white men and women, Trump’s election was a white, working-class, often rural backlash and what is needed is a focus on Middle America.

Frasier: Niles, I’ve just had the most marvelous idea for a website! People will post their opinions, cheeky bon mots, and insights, and others will reply in kind!
Niles: You have met “people”, haven’t you?

"Identity politics" is the political tactic of obsessing with gender, skin color, sexual orientation. It's a pillar of liberalism, it's not on the radar screen of most conservatives. We tend to not care. If you disagree with that, that's your right. It's hysterical, but it's your right.
"You honestly believe the Trumplican Party is reflective of the composition of this country "
That's has nothing to do with identity politics. But the answer to your question, of course, is no. The GOP does very poorly with minorities.
You would say that's because the GOP is racist. I would say it's because the entire media and all of academia never stops painting the GOP as racist, even though there's zero truth to that. Zip.
Paul, a liberal walks through Baltimore or Bridgeport, and says that the blacks there need more liberalism. A conservative sees these cities, sees that they've been run by liberals for 100 years, and concludes that blacks in those cities need something different and better. Liberals push abortion and minimum wage, which obviously disproportionately impact blacks. Conservatives wish to address black fatherlessness, liberals blame it all on white supremacy.
Just because it works, doesn't mean it's true.
"Trumplicans feel, to some extent, that the rug is being pulled out from under them — that the benefits they have enjoyed because of their race, their groups’ advantages, and their status atop the racial hierarchy are all in jeopardy."
So liberals never claim that working class-folks are being left behind as the wealthy get ahead? How come it's heroic and empathetic when liberals say the little guy is falling behind, but it's racist when Trumplicans say it?
Paul, all you have is name-calling like Floridaman and Trumplicans. When you're (1) wrong on the facts, and (2) too small to admit so, you can always accuse your opponents of bigotry.
You're pathetic and desperate, as are the candidates and the DNC.

When all you can do is criticize my typos, I'm feeling good about the validity of my opinions.
I'm an idiot. You live in CT, you see the results of liberal economics, and yet you're a liberal. How bad do things have to get in your home state, before you can say "liberalism sounded great, but it obviously just doesn't work"? How much worse would it have to get?
