10" Monster PVC Canals

Here are some pics of my 10" monster canals. They weigh around 5 ounces and should be rigged with 4/0 or 5/0 VMC Hooks. They're tail weighted and get a nice side to side action, they cast far with a little practice. Also they're constructed of solid PVC not wood.Let me know some thoughts. I played around with colors, Zuri is my favoite.

How do you think the screw eyes will hold in the pvc? If you glued them, I bet they would be fine. 5 ounces is a heavy plug, that is Stripercrazy size

those are sweetlove crackle orange/yellow....what ya throwing them withI don't paint the pvc plugs I turn... to me thats the benefit of useing pvc...no epoxy/paint/sealer...from lathe to surf in a hr...the stuff I got don't float as good as ceder...I seen a guy rip the plank down and with a table saw grove 1/2 a center hole on each side then glue it back togetherand it was thru drilledI'm throwing a lami sb12015m and a 7000bgh

The screw eyes hold up great, during testing my buddy landed a 26.74 lb striper. No zip zap glue or anything. They cant be pulled out. Hopefully a few bigger fish will confirm this.

I've been throwing them on a Airwave 11 ft rod rated 4 to 10 and a Trophy 12 ft rod rated 3 to 7.

I actually think these float better than wood and more consistently. No worries about them not being sealed or anything either.

Nice looking plugs whether wood or not. I like the crackle paint job but my shoulders get sore just lookng at something heavier then 3.5oz. It sounds like you have the gear to throw them and hopefully you'll land a big one sometime soon. At least you know you won't be undergeared. Good luck with those...mm

I'll have to whip some up this winter. We got tons of pvc at the shop, we use it all the time. I am thinking small top water plugs that weigh a decent amount for canal. Thanks just what I need.

where do you guys get PVC stock? I looked in my HD, but couldn't find it, not sure where it would be? Figured in the trim aisle with the wood and fakewood molding.
