Fishin' Superstitions

I'm working on something for a writer's group I joined. Does anyone have any fishing superstitions they would share. Like taking a banana on a fishing trip is bad luck or isn't there something about witch hazel blooming meaning something. Good or bad, it doesn't matter I just need a few for my story, but as many as ya can come up with for something else I'm doing.
By the way, isn't this the time of year we're supposed to be throwing the Halloween Plug? Don't know if that's a superstition or fodder for gullible people like me.
Thanks

Music. I only listen to certain bands in the car on my way to go fishing because I won’t catch if I listen to something else.

You will think I'm nuts but I never walk around the front of my truck, buggy whatever. Just never did it on the beach, in the lot, anywhwere when fishing.

No boat, back in the suds.

Even numbers. When I go fishing I won't get out of the truck until the clock is on an even number. 10:48, 10:50....etc. I won't stop casting until my watch is on an even number as well.

There was a band called Asia back in I guess the mid/late 80s that I was convinced if I heard their music, something bad was going to happen.

Mike, I had a rear basket for the cooler that went in the trailer hitch. It had 6 rod holders on it.

No boat, back in the suds.

On the other hand, SRV was my good luck charm.

Years ago a big Clapton fan I met gave me a mint concert poster from SRV’s final appearance. 1 year later I gave it a a huge SRV fan who was blown away. Happy people all around.

I’ve killed the bite on Charlestown with a good fish on my first cast.
Really bad when you drove 5 hours to get there.
