Talking It's September and this could happen again!

Check out the video on the insane bluefish blitzes off Newport. The video can be viewed in full screen 1080p, so pump up the volume (you need to hear the fish bumping into the boat) and enjoy the show. This was shot in September, 2007 when we had vast schools of peanut bunker in the bay. I'm hearing reports of peanuts showing up now.

Clammer, don't watch this cause it could result in nightmares.

Feel free to pass the link along to others.

Wait.... no underwater "fisheye" footage? I wonder why not?

That would have been nice to run into today seeing as how I got shut-out in a Bluefish Tourney..

Raven, this footage was shot on the 18th, but knowing how you determine the best days to fish, I would say you're probably right on the money.

Sinncognito, I wouldn’t envision a scene out of the foolish movie 'Piranha", but I think you might catch a nip or two, or three, or four if you were in water with poor viz and wall to wall bait…ouch!

luv2flyfish, I would settle for even a fraction of that kind of action.

I remember blitzes like that in spots i fished in RI. There were bass on the outskirts of the blitzes i fished.

Thanks for posting the video!

Be encouraging, not discouraging

Great stuff ... I especially love seeing the multitudes of fish following the plug, hitting it one after another ... love the clouds of bait getting hammered ... great stuff ... have to view it on a larger screen though.

great video. Those are the times you take the hooks off the plugs and have a ball.

it is amazing how stupid, relentless a blufish is. I have gotten them into the boat still holding onto a hook less plug
