Seems Hunter went on the offensive

Hunter Biden’s lawyers, in a newly aggressive strategy, sent a series of blistering letters Wednesday to state and federal prosecutors urging criminal investigations into those who accessed and disseminated his personal data — and sent a separate letter threatening Fox News host Tucker Carlson with a defamation lawsuit.
The string of letters, which included criminal referrals and cease-and-desist missives aimed at critics and detractors, marked the start of a new and far more hard-hitting phase for the president’s son just as House Republicans prepare their own investigations into him.

Hunter Biden is an adult. Hunter Biden is a private citizen. He is not, and never will be, a politician. If he did something illegal, federal, state or local law enforcement is responsible for taking action. Not Congress.

Congress imagines itself to be a court of law. If they are going to get into the business of investigating private citizens they don't like, the least they could do if afford them all the rights and protections a private citizen has in a court of law. But that would not be very interesting, would it?

Could be, never know. But the chain of command problems seem to be a major concern. The little that I have read seem to indicate that things where changed on it after he (supposedly) dropped it for repair. Still a lot of questions. The author of that article I posted seems to shoot down a bunch of issues people were concerned about like where Hunter was getting some of the info. in the (supposed) emails.

so the techs at the FBI have no way of knowing if stuff was planted from the outside. or if the hard drive had been swapped

Maybe an investigation would reveal what actually happened, and what’s made up.

Maybe but I don't know the legality or morality of going after a private citizen??????? I guess if he is charged with tax evasion but given that he paid his back taxes it would be extremely rare for him to be charged (according to what I read). And then I don't think something like tax evasion would allow the gov. to look into other things not related?????again I don't know.

I have absolutely no clue of the legality of going after a private citizen, but there are democrats on that committee who will raise that if it's an issue, right?

I'm a lot less concerned about the Bidens profiting off his influence (I assume they all do that these days, Republicans too), as I am with the appearance that some in the FBI felt like their job was to serve as operatives of the Biden campaign while I was paying them. They had the laptop in their possession, they had to know there was zero evidence it wasn't legit. And the media s#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&g it all up like a Hoover Deluxe model. That's not why we have a media with constitutional protections. If you were reporting on a story you knew was legit, can you imagine how it would feel to be censored on Facebook and Twitter, and to have 95% of the media saying you were peddling Russian disinformation? It's not a great situation.

I have no reason to believe it changed the outcome of the election, but it had to have helped.

always, for those who don’t require any proof whatsoever.

and plenty of people suggested skepticism that it was really his laptop.

I think it's fantastic that Hunter Biden's lawyers have decided to go after Rudy Giuliani, Steve Bannon, and other lowlife scumbags who have hounded him.

Good for Hunter.

If the Right, and MAGA GOP, want to investigate Hunter Biden's laptop, they should ALSO investigate how Jared Kushner got $2 Billion, and Steven Mnuchin got $1 Billion, from the Saudis!
Hunter Biden is a private citizen. Jared Kushner was in the White House!

Everyone has noticed that Republicans ran on crime and inflation, but their focus is on M&Ms, gas stoves, history books, Hunter Biden, and the pledge of allegiance.

They have nothing but performative bull#^&#^&#^&#^&.
