They were there....In 1969
That was their one and ONLY appearence....since then the Pats have been in 7...winning 3 of them.
Hell....even Trent Dilfer won a friggin Superbowl since then....

Although the receivers dropped some balls, I think you could squarely put this one on the coaching staff. I could see not getting Gronk the ball in the first half, let the Giants think he is a decoy. In the second half, more importantly in the 4th quarter they should have gotten him the ball, he was open numerous times. Please tell me why, when you are up by 2 and marching down the field with 3:50 left do you slow the game down by pulling out Hernandez and running the friggen ball. They could have kept the no huddle going, put the ball in the end zone maybe leaving 2:30 on the clock. The Giants D was lost at that time with the no huddle, and the Pats scoring chances were looking good for that drive. They would have put all of the pressure on Manning to score twice with 1 timeout and maybe the 2 minute warning for clock management. Oh well, at least the B's have a chance to repeat...
