freshwater applications

Has anyone come across Danny style lips that are very small for freshwater applications. Additionally smaller thru wire that can be used to make super small danny's under 3" that would not make them too heavy?

Warren, check your VM.

I made some small danny's last year 2.5-3". I used the smallest danny lip from either nj or cc. Mike has or had some small swimmer lips as well. The thru wire you can get at jann's stamina or moore's. I found some at cranston welding supply. Check for a welding supply house in your area. Use .035 or .041. I gave one of those small dannys to Tina to give to her dad. He took it to Canada and caught a huge pike. Silver scale over black base. You will probably not even have to weight it, rely on the hook for ballast (and do Taggers hydro orienting thing).
The bass do eat them as well. Caught a 3lb in western RI on one. The old timer sitting next to me on the pier didn't think there were fish that big in that pond.

Go Bears!

I scaled some single belly hook ones down to 3/4 oz. Made my own lips. A small slug of lead too. Smallies hit them pretty good
