$530 to get a Paxlovid prescription

Fighting with Mass General Brigham about a tele-med call back in May 2022. I called my local physician's office North Shore Physicians Group, Marblehead and was told someone would have to call me back. I hear from a Dr Erin Heiskell, who I had never heard of, and answer some questions. She had some technical issues on her end but after about 20-25 minutes she was able to send the prescription to my local pharmacy.
They billed my insurance $530.00 for that "appointment", and my share is $270 after insurance actually paid! So I now have a $270 bill in collection. I am going to blow up those fockers with complaints and communication, even posting on local FB sites. Eff them using Covid for profit center generator......

That sucks Ross, I don’t want anything to do with over the phone health, not from what I hear and this is another example.

I went to my local walk in clinic this summer with a 104 fever and a gurgling sound in my lungs. I knew it was pneumonia and they did but they said I had to go to the emergency room because they can’t just “dole out” antibiotics any more. So I went…. Spent 5 hours there in a ridiculous charade. The bill for all that BS ? $7000. I’d be better off taking a week long trip to Mexico to chill out on a beach and then come home with a life’s supply of antibiotics that you can just buy at a drug store. Capitalism and health care should be separated just like church and state.

That sucks Ross. See insurance companies are the good guys and without them the bill would be even higher😃
