Angry Got Whacked......AAARRRRGGGH

Go out to get some lawnmower and chainsaw gas, slow down for the stop sign.... some......."lady" flys out of a parking lot, smokes me just in front of the passenger side rear tire, swings the arse end of the truck out, and almosts clips a car coming in the other lane... dog kisses the dash board, and ends up on the floor, looking at me like... WhatthehellUdoin?" I give her the quick check over, she's fine , the 3 of us pull into the lot, the lady who didn't get hit, was great, she said, "I'm staying till the cop gets here and tell him what happened, you had no where to go!", and she was asking if the dog was OK, I hit 911 on the cell, get the cops coming. Take a look at what hit me, YIKES the bumper cover, and front skirt, is ripped right off. Left front fender pushed in, almost to the tire.
Lady that hit me comes over, I am sorry, my fault.... I don't dare speak, mother taught me better, I just nod, and walk s-l-ow-l-y around to the other side.... .... a little ding, some scratched paint, and a lot of rub marks on the tire
Make sure the pooch is OK, she is getting a lot of love from everybody, she's fine... cop shows up, does the paper work, back-up shows up, and asks me if I got any tools... , I think she can drive it away, if "we" unbolt those 4 bolts on the buper.... I want out of there, but.... "I" unbolt it, hethrows it in her back seat, and away we go.....
Have not had an accident, in 27 years, but, I guess I got reminded why I drive a LARGE vehicle, I'm sure the body shop bill will be a lot more on the Toyota wagon, that clipped me......
did not make my day though.... other than beach wear and tear, the 98 150 "was" virgin.... hope whovever I got to go to, can match green good........

Glad you and your dog are ok, sounds like it could have ended up a lot worse. Cars and parts can always be replaced.

Matching the green,, that's gonna be the issue.....
I got a real good friend with a body shop, hope he's on the insurance "list", they told me they will send an adjuster, he will appraise damage, and give me "the list", I can choose any shop on it, and they will do the work for the $ that the adjuster comes up with..
I am not sure if I'll push for the rental car... son's in school, I've got a ride with a beach sticker for my beach...... he told me to not let it sit

KarlF...I am a licensed auto appraiser in mass..Yoy can bring your car to any shop you want for the repairs..You dont have to go to one of the insurance companys approved shops. The insurance company has to at least attemt to negotiate the repairs with whatever shop you choose..What company is it ??

I'm going where I'm going...

Hers is Liberty, mine is Safety... Saw my bud already, he said don't sweat the list issue, told me it was BS, he said, whatever company it is, they will try to pork me out of something, but, he will have my back... also told me the green will match.
He found a gouge in the sidewall of my tire too, and a nick on the edge of the rim told me to leave the tire on till the adjuster sees it, that means no beach in the truck till I see this guy... glad my son's GC is available to me.... he told me to use it, just detail it

Dave, all set on ride... busy day fa me.
Going to my son's game at Wheaton... go visit Ma in Dedham, she's turning 90... she probably won't know I'm there, but, I'll know I was there for her... kill a little time, grab a large coffee, and hit the plug show in Quincy.
Thanks for the offer, if things were different, I'd go with ya, had fun goin up with you last year.

CS, blondie is fine.... took her over to the pet place and looked at those car carrier cages, she sniffed it, refused to get in it, shot me a look, like, "U get in it!", sauntered back over to the truck, and stood by the passenger door.....waiting to go....

she's no fool,,she may not say much but you can tell she's aways thinking...your lucky she didn't bite you in the fa waking her up.

many, many moons ago, I was in a truck with my boss an his dog..we were half way down the road when he forgot something back at the shop. we turned around an headed back. as we were nearing the garage, I said to myself , I hope he remembers that latter on the roof rack,,,nope! BANG! the end of the latter hits the bottom of the garage door...the whole door lands on the hood of the truck[never seen dogs eye's get that big before] I opened my door an the dog never touched me on his way out....took some time before that dog would get back in the truck again

BOAT fish do count.

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.
