Another day, more firsthand evidence, more amending testimony, more fact witnesses cooreberating the bribery scandal. Nunes looks like a fool. All they can do it ask questions the witnesses don’t have visibility to and smear honest civil servants and patriots.

It’s sickening.

After Sondland's opening statement Nunes was seen rushing into the mens room to change his shorts and probably throw up.

Adam Schiff and his team have run the most effective Congressional probe in history.

After being informed of the WB complaint on Sep 9, in a little over two months they have broken WH obstruction, got documents & testimony, flipped reluctant witnesses, and revealed the entire plot.

Seriously impressive.

Here's what Trump is looking at

Can anyone explain to me Why republicans keep bringing up the Javelin anti tank weapon system ..

I am trying to understand what it has to do with the phone call other to just say see they got them whats the issue ???

I am sure a white house visit for ukraine would have been far less expensive for American Tax payers and 100% more beneficial to ukraine both domestically and regionally...

I am sure Trump put as much thought into this as he did syria

Hill nailed it today, he will be impeached in the house and Mitch will have a OMG we have to do it trial and then we get to watch Trump show us his true colors again in the 2020 campaign and those on the fence will likely say that’s enough of that.

that could well happen. or, if the democratic nominee is a marxist jerk and the economy is still roaring, people on the fence may flock to trump. there’s a political risk to all this for the democrats. no way of knowing how this will play in FL, NC, OH, WI. I don’t think Harris, Warren, Sanders, or Buttigieg has a prayer against Trump, but that's a guess on my part, and unlike democratic witnesses, i can differentiate between my opinions and fact.

As with what's happening with Suburban moms I think finally others will say they're tired of this vile, lying, classless grifter and maybe some of their class will come out and they'll vote for someone else.

very good chance that’s exactly what happens. who knows.

do you think that many of the democratic candidates are potentially too extremely liberal
for those suburbanites in middle
america? and what about the economy? the libs here will
do anything to avoid admitting how well the economy is doing ( pete thinks it’s tanking), but that has to help him a little.

a fascinating conflict of
forces. trumps divisiveness and
vulgarity work against him. working for him, are the economy and the freak show of candidates to oppose him, outside of biden.

No surprise.

Trump was absolutely right.

If he were to shoot someone in the middle of 5th Avenue, there would be no consequences.

Because Trumplicans would fall all over themselves to defend him and explain it away.

What will happen if they don't introduce articles of impeachment..

It wouldn't be a bad plan the info is out in the public ,it would deny the Senate any chance to try to make it more about the Bidens then about Trump

And Trump couldn't play the victim on the campaign Trail.. but rather have to answer other question like Jim said if you did nothing wrong why didn't you cooperate with the inquiry. As the Republicans expected biden too ( still dont see how that was relevant besides trying to get the dirt Trump couldn't from Ukraine

I think it would be a shrewd move to not impeach, get the facts out there, let the people decide. But i’d be stunned if they did that. The progressive wing wants impeachment, i cant see they’d settle for anything less, and they are the democratic party right now. The moderates barely exist. Unless you consider Pelosi a moderate, right now she’s in the middle over there.

Written by Art Buchwald in 1973, please modify to suit yourself

As a public service, I am printing instant responses for loyal Nixonites when they are attacked at a party. Please cut it out and carry it in your pocket.

1. Everyone does it.

2. What about Chappaquid#^&#^&#^&#^&?

3. A President can’t keep track of everything his staff does.

4. The press is blowing the whole thing up.

5. Whatever Nixon did was for national security.

6. The Democrats are sore because they lost the election.

7. Are you going to believe a rat like John Dean or the president of the United States?

8. Wait till all the facts come out.

9. What about Chappaquid#^&#^&#^&#^&?

10. If you impeach Nixon, you get Agnew.

11. The only thing wrong with Watergate is they got caught.

12. What about Daniel Ellsberg stealing the Pentagon Papers?

13. It happens in Europe all the time.

14. People would be against Nixon no matter what he did.

15. I’d rather have a crook in the White House than a fool.

16. LBJ used to read FBI reports every night.

17. What’s the big deal about finding out what your opposition is up to?

18. The president was too busy running the country to know what was going on.

19. What about Chappaquid#^&#^&#^&#^&?

20. People that live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.

21. McGovern would have lost anyway.

22. Maybe the Committee for the Re-Election of the President went a little too far, but they were just a bunch of eager kids.

23. I’m not for breaking the law, but sometimes you have to do it to save the country.

24. Nixon made a mistake. He’s only human.

25. Do you realize what Watergate is doing to the dollar abroad?

26. What about Harry Truman and the deep freeze scandal?

27. Franklin D. Roosevelt did a lot of worse things.

28. I’m sick and tired of hearing about Watergate and so is everyone else.

29. This thing should be tried in the courts and not on TV.

30. When Nixon gives his explanation of what happened there are going to be a lot of people in this country with egg on their faces.

31. My country right or wrong.

32. What about Chappaquid#^&#^&#^&#^&?

33. I think the people who make all this fuss about Watergate should be shot.

34. If the Democrats had the money they would have done the same thing.

35. I never did trust Haldeman and Ehrlichman.

36. If you say one more word about Watergate I’ll punch you in the nose.

A. If the person is bigger than you: “If you say one more word about Watergate, I’m leaving this house.”

B. If it’s your own house and the person is bigger than you: “What about Chappaquid#^&#^&#^&#^&?”

This column was originally published in The Los Angeles Times on July 12, 1973.

Frasier: Niles, I’ve just had the most marvelous idea for a website! People will post their opinions, cheeky bon mots, and insights, and others will reply in kind!

Niles: You have met “people”, haven’t you?
