Why false claims about Brazil's election are spreading in far-right U.S. circles

Baseless claims that voting machines made by Dominion Voting Systems and Smartmatic are being used to rig voting in Brazil are circulating online and in far-right media in the U.S. – even though neither company's hardware or software is being used in the current election there.

Here we go again The republican base Greasing the rails getting ready For the midterms which may be much different than then the red wave they all claimed was coming..

and then Fox runs a twitter story fuling the same nonsense

Colorado secretary of state says office accidentally sent 30,000 voter registration notices to...
The office of Colorado's Secretary of State Jena Griswold said around 30,000 voter registration notices were sent out to non-U.S. citizens late last month.

And Trump and the crazys grab on... By Tuesday, five days after the first story was published, Trump posted a story about the mistake by the conservative Daily Wire on his social platform, Truth Social. That story also used a headline with quotation marks around the word "accidental"

I guess this is another example of Both sides ?

it still may happen but we will see

Biden's Approval Plummets by Double Digits Among Democrats as Midterm Nears

President Joe Biden saw a significant dip in his approval ratings due largely to Democrats and independents.

Independents, seem to be giving Biden the cold shoulder as his approval fell a whopping 18 percent in the past week.

the thing in colorado you’re harping on, actually happened, right? so what’s your beef? that the gop didn’t ignore it?

meanwhile
msnbc reporting that “racism” is why hispanics are leaning more to the right then typically, there can be no other reason. it can’t be that hispanics don’t like the weird social engineering going on, or high crime. it can only be due to racism. Right?

you could just gell me what the big deal is, when the gop reports in something that actually happened, and obviously put their spin on it.

You said it was wrong for the GOP to talk about the mistake made in Colorado. You can't seem to say why it's wrong, you're just assuming it must be wrong if a republican is saying it.

I’m happy with recent polling also

The new nbc poll out this am shows all the speculation about election in last few days by too many in media was way premature and wrong. Dems lead by 1 in this poll; and threats to democracy is number one issue especially among Dems.

and there you go...brandon just doomed the democrats....

Politico 2022 ELECTIONS

Biden predicts Democrats will turn the tide, despite polls
In recent weeks, surveys have shown Republicans gaining in key Senate races.

*also there is no inflation but if there is it's only transitory

*Congress passed his student loan forgiveness by a few votes

*if you get vaccinated you won't get covid

it would take a major event ( like the fed saying inflation is over and cutting interest rates) to turn the tide of the polls
now. the democrats peaked too early, in summer.

seems to be a little confusion in the brandon whitehouse...surprise!

WASHINGTON (Reuters) October 25, 2022 The White House has lowered its earlier optimism about the midterm elections and is now worried that Democrats could lose control of both chambers of Congress, administration officials say.

this is hilarious!

my guess is you’re right. Speaker Pelosi apparently thinks the democrats are going to win unanimously, she can’t believe anyone would vote for republicans

The question of midterms flipping is not shocking. It happens 99% of the time the only question is how far and if it’s both houses

Because if dems keep the Senate and Republicans take the house with a min majority. Not much is going to change

True, the opposition party just about always picks up seats. But sometimes it's a lot more extreme than other times.

99% of the time, the NY governors race isn't polling to be a close race. 99% of the time, polling doesn't show that Hispanics are making a meaningful shift to the right.

Didi you hear MSNBC's explanation for why Hispanics are moving to the right? Because Hispanics hate black people. Can't be any other reason.

Agree, not a ton is likely to change.

If by chance the usual doesn't happen and the democrats hold either the house or the senate, there will be a tidal wave of election deniers claims of voter fraud. If the house and senate turn red, better hope you aren't to reliant on social security or Medicare, because that's next on the make America great again agenda.

The gop election deniers are all ready setting that table

Liz the biggest Rino in the GOP said this

No one of any party should be voting for people who are election deniers...Kari Lake and Mark Finchem in AZ [are] telling you that they'll only certify an election they agree with. And there's not a much graver threat to democracy than that."

Liz is speaking to people of principal
So the majority of Republicans won’t hear her message . Because It’s not a lie .
