Not this year....

Sadly, I don't expect to have anything done by Plugfest. Just the way the cards have fallen. Or maybe the snow has fallen.... Sucks, but I don't sugarcoat anything. A lot of turned stuff, some drilled, but that is where it sits. I will definitely have some ready for the season, but that is a ways off... Have to go gas up for tomorrow's storm. I would much rather be going to Marathon to fish this weekend.....

I hear ya buddy. I have about 30 plugs turned still sitting doing nothing as my schedule has gone nuts lately. Son's Pinewood Derby has taken precident as it's the day after Plugfest, so the time I do have, I've been sanding wheels and polishing axles for 3 cars....his, my daughter's(sibling division) and mine(Dad division). Still have the day off and planning to make it down there, but I will be arriving empty handed unfortunately.

Are you telling me a Dad is working on his kid's car....never heard of such a thing

This is going to be my 2nd straight plugless year for me...haven't had the time to get any thing done...I still have a bunch primed still hanging on the drying rack from 2 years ago.

it gets replaced with other priorities and commitments but it's still there someplace
I hear you guys

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

I've only been to one Plug Fest (2010). Is the average Joe supposed to bring plugs to trade or display, or are the display people identified in advance?

Sorry for the cluelessness.

I have a handful of needles done (or should be done).

haha, he has actually done the sanding and painting, I'm just trying to get the wheels and axles straightened up a little....ie, 600&1000 grit wet/dry sand paper, dremel tool and some high shine buffing compund for the axles to the graphite sticks better....lol

Bring as much as you can for trade. That's the fun, and what I will miss the most by not having stuff to trade.... Some will be shameless ho's.... Took me two years to make up what I "owed" to the more productive builders who graciously put their plugs in my hands when I had nothing to offer in trade... It is fun, educational, and very humbling, at least for me.

I've never been to plugfest since I don't make plugs (watching Larry's video it looks like a TON of work and time that I don't have at this point, plus I'm not a craftsman type of guy) BUT if it's anything like the mini plug fest that happens on the front porch of the club at Cutty, then I bets it's an awesome time! Of course the anticipation of hitting the surf at Cutty helps....

Hey Rockport, we got to hit the surf this summer man. I didn't realize I went to school with your other half.

I won't be ready either. I could step on it and get a couple of dozen together but then I'll regret it and when I come back everything will be a disaster. I will spend more time looking at others work and less time talking about my junk. Looking forward to it either way.

I'm in the same boat too. I painted about 50 plugs this past 3 day weekend but still way to much to do before the fest. I'll have a few but I a not rushing it. More time to look around for a change.

It will be nice to meet some of you in person. I hope Stripermaineiac, blondterror and nightfighter will be there -- I owe them each a needle. I should have those done.

I also owe iamskippy a spook -- might not have that done for you but I will before the season starts.
