I’m voting for my dead cat. What a pitiful display that debate was.

He has condemned white supremacism several times already. Asking him to do it again . . . and again . . . is getting old. His immediate response to Wallace when asked if he was willing to condemn it was "sure." And he said so again. When further pressed, in frustration, he asked Chris what he wanted him to call them, what label to use. Then came up with that quote, the first part of which told the bad guys to stand back (I take that to mean stop the mayhem). The "stand by" is still puzzling to me, maybe some Trump sarcasm or just mumble mouth nonsense. Although Pete thinks he knows. Maybe Trump will be asked to explain it.

He could double down on his Charlottesville comments, one of which, in that very same press talk, is that he wasn't referring to white supremacists or Nazis when he said there were fine people on both sides. Of course, that part of his statement is left out by you and Pete and the leftist media.

So the narrative continues that he is a white supremacist. And all that is needed to prove that is to keep repeating that he is. Never mind that he has condemned that supremacism, Neo-Nazis, racists, several times.

It is not a coincidence that the president chose Tulsa — where white people burned a thriving Black district to the ground, murdering hundreds — for his rally and speech on the anti-racist protests across the country. Nor is it by chance that Stephen Miller, a white supremacist, is said to be writing the president’s speech. Trump chose Miller for the same reason he chose Tulsa and Nazi imagery: to inflame tensions and give a wink to the racists who support him.
Trump’s supporters would have us believe that his many racist comments — from calling Haiti, El Salvador, and African nations “#^&#^&#^&#^&hole countries” to tweeting that young female congresswomen of color should “go back” to the “crime infested places from which they came” — are being misconstrued or taken out of context. They’ll say that the president’s detractors will call anything racist in an attempt to make him look bad.
Trump thinks Mexicans are rapists, that white supremacists are “very fine people,” and that Muslims don’t belong in America. He believes protesters should be roughed up, that majority-Black neighborhoods are dangerous, and that the exonerated Central Park Five are guilty.
The president doesn’t need to yell a racial slur for us to know he’s a racist — his dog whistles relay the same message while giving himself and his supporters plausible deniability. So yes, the upside-down triangle is racist and meant to infuriate you and to stoke his base. This is who he is and what he does.
In advance of his Tulsa speech, the president told the Wall Street Journal on Thursday that he “made Juneteenth very famous.” Apparently, “nobody had ever heard of it.” What’s that saying from Maya Angelou? When someone shows you who they are—believe them.

Things I learned from that #^&#^&#^&#^&show, as follows:

One person talking was a tax-evading, racist, White-Nationalist supporter.

Ah, we all knew that already. All he had to do was fib a little, and he would’ve done a little better.

News outlets say his debate team literally said he “Didn’t follow any debate prep. He just crashed after takeoff.”

The whole thing was an embarrassment to the US people. It was an insult to our collective intelligence.

I, for one, say cancel the next two. Hell, most of us will vote early, anyhow.

Keep believing, he can't handle the tough questions apparently, so in the end he shows his true colors. Sort of like the classic questioning by Tom Cruise and the line everyone knows, your damn right I ordered the code red. Trump when pushed always shows who he really is and you of course are an open book, you are the site DeBarr.

He did not say that he ordered the code red. He did not say he was a white supremacist. He said yes when asked if he was willing to condemn white supremacy. Having done so already, many times, maybe wondering in what way to do it yet again if what he had already said over and over was not sufficient, he asked Wallace what words did he want him to use. As a concrete example, he told the Proud Boys to stand back, in essence to not create mayhem. How is that interpreted as actually approving their mayhem or supporting white racism? And, perhaps knowing that Biden would not be asked to condemn ANTIFA, and other leftist rioters, he pointed out that the left is where he saw most of the rioting coming from.

And do you want to bring up Charlottesville yet again, did he say there that Nazis are fine people, or did he say he was not referring to them?

Not much to misconstrue in what he said
"Proud Boys, stand back and stand by," Trump said after Biden named the far-right group. "But I’ll tell you what, somebody’s got to do something about antifa and the left."

What was it, exactly, that Biden said about Antifa and leftist rioters that condemned their violent actions?

He said the same thing as FBI director Wray and the same thing he has said previously.

Biden did not condemn Antifa or leftists rioters on this video, nor in the debate. He just gave a general condemnation of various violence. The only specific person he blamed for the violence was Trump.

If Trump had given this generalized response to Wallace's question while gratuitously blaming Biden, would that have been acceptable? I asked you what "Biden said about Antifa and leftist rioters that condemned their violent actions?" I didn't ask you what Ray said. Biden said nothing specifically about about left wing violence. But Trump is asked specifically about what is considered right wing violence.

And Trump has also condemned the violence in general previously, and also specifically condemned white supremacism several times. And he keeps getting asked, over and over, to condemn it. And he has. So, once again, he is asked to in the debate. But Biden gets a pass.

Once again Trump has never heard of something or someone.

Didn't know David Duke either

Trump knows the Proud Boys because of the Roger Stone scandal involving them.

Also, the chairman of Proud Boys is the Florida State Director of Latinos for Trump. Enrique Tarrio. Same Proud Boy who organized the Portland rally a few days ago.

Why would I think there's pics of them?

This morning, authorities in Portland arrested Proud Boys member Alan Swinney. He faces a dozen charges, six of which are felonies, including assault, unlawful use of weapon, and menacing.

If you want to claim that Trump did and does a great job, perhaps you can explain a simple point. If a president cannot follow the clear, agreed upon rules of a debate, why would we expect him to follow the more demanding obligation to faithfully execute the laws & his office?

Good news that we wouldn't have known if you didn't tell us. I'm sure this wouldn't have been picked up by CNN or MSMBC or CBS or NBC or the NYT or Washington Post. You must have some really good sources to pick this stuff up and letting us know.

Wow. That's really a good point. No wonder you post so much. Your head must be exploding with good stuff and you just gotta let it out . . . you know . . . to do us a favor and help us understand life and what's really going on . . . and it probably hurts if you try to hold it . . . Yeah, and if he can't follow those simple rules, how could he even drive a car . . . or run a good con . . . or flush his toilet.

And how can a President who's doing anything possible to undermine a free and fair election -- the foundation of our democracy -- in any way be considered fit for office?

They're even going so low as to use taxpayer funded food aid to promote Trump as a savior to people in poverty.

I have Pete on ignore, but I see his quoted posts. He posts off topic comments (some of which I do agree with), Detbuch comes back and around and around they go....
