Building are made of concrete, not steel, but of course you don’t know that because you don’t develop real estate. Or know anything about chemical reactions in crushed rocks.

The steel and aluminum tariffs will lower the price of cars, and a lot.

Auto companies have been using wwaaayyyy too much of these in cars for far too long because of unnecessary regulation and DEI. You see, because the auto companies are forced to make DEI hires that are always incompetent, they may be minorities, or in some cases can’t decide what gender they are. These morons don’t know how to engineer squat so they have to use more, like double the materials to make cars safer in crashes.

Think of a car door, you used to be able to push it, now you can’t push it, but there’s no reason you need to push it. I’ve been studying this for many, many months.

Trump DOJ confirms they will ask SCOTUS to overrule Humphrey’s Executor rather than defend independent agencies / multi member commissions like the FTC, etc.

(So they’re arguing Trump can fire the boards and commissioners that lead these agencies)
If they overrule Humphrey's, the Fed will be vulnerable. A few thoughts: (1) If SCOTUS doesn't gut Humphrey's (unlikely), it will be because they're concerned about the Fed. They recently rejected a constitutional challenge to the CFPB that would have jeopardized Fed funding, too- in part for that reason.
It's also possible SCOTUS tries to write an opinion that artificially carves out the Fed - or at least drops a footnote that makes clear that would be a separate case; and possible that, in that future case, they would make something up to protect the Fed -like insisting they (The Fed) don't/doesn't exercise significant executive authority. But it would probably be an exception good for that entity only - and made up.
It's also possible they just say "#^&#^&#^&#^& it, let's do it! (global economic turmoil & a great recession/depression)" Especially if R officials aren't sounding alarms....

Remember for Billionaires, economic downturns are an opportunity unlike the average American who loses the wealth that the billionaires gain.

How about if we further tariff Canadian lumber?

Steel is currently at less than capacity and tariffs will do nothing other than drive up prices for the cheapest steel that is produced more economically elsewhere (Nucor rebar prices increased $2 per hundred weight last week on the threat alone)

Aluminum tariffs if applied to all imported aluminum will increase domestic prices and likely reduce exports.

Aluminum industry doesn’t produce only US production. Aluminum.org is a North American entity.
Canada because they have abundant cheap hydroelectric power is the major producer of aluminum from bauxite.
Both the USA and Canada further process the raw material into finished products. This is either used in the USA or exported.
Bauxite which aluminum is produced from is mined in Australia, Guinea, India, Brazil and China.
The USA mines produce less than 1% of the world’s bauxite.

On the lumber market
Canadian mills are closing along with USA mills.
The day of the small sawmill growing into a bigger and bigger company are gone.
The modern wood industry has timber harvesting by machines, logs get a coded identification, log transportation is the same, mills have no humans inside during operation.(the sawyer is in a booth and optimization is by computer)
Workers only do repairs and maintenance.
The capital costs are large and margins are small.
It looks like the lumber industry will be controlled by several very large corporations who will have monopolies.
The current regimes elimination of regulations on large corporations will accelerate that.
