Funny fish
Went out this Am with John looking for bones . Seen some birds working . Not much of a feed looked like slurping bass . 1st cast I hook into a albie ripping off line the. John hooks up . We boat them both and not another to be seen for the next 5 hrs . But mission accomplished

yeah, tons of bait out there, no Alberto though, nor schoolie, nor bluefish, ... gonna be a little late and end a little early?

Yes they are. But not worth the fuel burn vs hook up rate . Still early . Hoping they push up river a little

Didn’t hear albie drag burning today, but fishing for sea bass off gooseberry, had drag screaming a half dozen times on teen size blues.

Not intentionally, but when tog fishing yes I’ve caught them and they are sooooo good, better tasting than anything local. Tough filet they have the toughest skin.

Saw some feeding among/around the chub mackerel Monday at the far west end of RI.... .
Made a few casts, but decided filling my BSB limit was more productive...

Very nice! (No rain here...) What lures are they liking today? I have to replace some hooks so looking for input on that front from you southern anglers.... Crippled herring for instance. Which thin VMC hook do I want to order? I have no packages of smaller hooks to gauge by. Thanks.

Ross your easiest drive would be the cape . they are all in the hyannis area (Ray could give you better details) these were caught in RI But I have friends killing them in Yaks on the cape
Ive caught them on Albie snaxs which is always my 1st choice epoxy jigs pink yellow chicken seems to be productive size is always a angler choice and I got a few on on casting egg with a fly trailer
rod 15-20ld braid good drag and 15 to 20llb floro .. have had a vew break offs with the 15lb but they get picky
