Who has been tested?

I just got my second negative test results for Covid. Had to get tested again as there was a PT employee at lumberyard who has gotten it... Had first test in September, just because insurance offered to send it...

Unfortunately due to my job I have been tested close to a dozen times. I work with several Paramedics who have been positive, in fact we almost lost one guy. He was in the hospital for 6-7 weeks and it didn't look god. Luckily he pulled through. We are in houses every day that are positive and all we can do is take precautions. Mask, face shield, gown taped at the wrists, it is a tough way to work but I think its necessary. I am required to disinfect the fire truck twice daily as well as the entire station. As of Monday we have to wear a mask in the station 24 hours a day.

The test is not pleasant if the wrong person is doing it, some are gentle but others seem like they pull the swab out with a pick up truck!

I had to be tested before I was on tv. It felt like I had my memories erased.

Our tests were from Labcorp through Pixel. No cost to us when ordered through our health insurance online after signing in. Arrived within 24 hours. Drop off at Fedex (not on weekend) and results within 24 hours.
So that was easier than waiting in the long lines shown on TV news. Also instructions do not have you reaching through your sinuses into the base of your brain...

I got the brain piercer test back in June and it sucked. I’ve since been tested 2 more times at work (I work in healthcare). I do it myself with the short swab and it’s a piece of cake. The short swab tests supposedly aren’t as accurate as the other one though.

I tested posi beginning of october. Been working through since this all started and been trying to be as careful as possible. Carpenter on kitchen remodel tested posi and we were both feeling a little "#^&#^&#^&#^& so the second we heard we tested and ended up positve....barely even saw him really..98% of the time left the key and never had direct contact. anyway nasal swab test wasnt as bad as I was led to believe...felt like a bad sneeze coming on. Either way F covid ....lucky to have had a so called mild case but I will say six weeks after I still dont feel quite right. stay safe .....

Simplify.......

Nice job Slip. I try to get to a drive occasionally. Probably have done 4 units the last few years. I need to step that up a bit.

The one thing that really turns me off is that once the Red Cross gets your info they hound you all the time. Almost to the point you want to tell them to pound sand.

Very important to do!

I have not been tested, but my wife gets tested every week. She works at a nursing home where she has been employed for the last 49 years. They have lost dozens of patients to the virus. Her mother, a patient at the home, will turn 101 years old next month. She tested positive a few months ago, but was asymptomatic. Most visitation at the nursing home has been halted. My mom passed away this past june, at 93...not from covid. Last time I saw her alive was through the window of her room at the nursing home she was in. She gave me a little smile.

My wife was exposed through her stepbrother. She has been waiting for the last 7 hours at a test site. You'd think that they could call you a half hour before you need to be there, instead of 1 minute, so you could sit somewhere more comfortable than your car, If it was me, I would have lost it hours ago, she is a very patient person.

A life long friend just tested negative after 23 days in the hospital! Looks like he’s going to make it, thank god... he had COPD so he was a high risk survival candidate....

Phone call today, another old friend results came back positive today,,, feels like chit but getting better....

They both admit they took a few chances but never thought they would have contracted it....

Me,,,, I’m laying low, with my underlying condition ( mental illness) ( fishin addiction? ) I don’t stand a chance.... LOL

b careful

My son and my wife both tested Positive! I don't understand it....we live in the same house, I share a bed with my wife and work shoulder to shoulder with my son at my second job and I am negative. I am a career firefighter and thought for sure I would be the one to contract it, but apparently I brought it home to my family. Its going to be a loooong two weeks. I'm in my bedroom anytime i'm in the house and we are using hand sanitizer and disinfectant by the gallon. Stay safe everyone!!

Due to a problem with my primary email account, I had to change email to register my at home Covid test from Pixel Labcorp. I just happened to mention that I wished I could get a test sent for my MIL to take at home and was told we could! So be it Medicare or health insurance or nothing, you can still get one of these Pixel by Labcorp tests Fedexed to your home, sent back Fedex, and have results by end of two days. Ours have always (twice) come back in a day....
