Flo Scan?

Is it worth adding? Anyone know which one I should be looking at?

Project boat is 1993 Grady Escape 209 with 1992 200hp Yamaha 2 stroke carbed six cylinder. Garmin Echomap 94 SV UHD 2020

I totally get your point, but I was thinking more along the lines of another way to see how much fuel is left.... A fuel sender in a boat's fuel tank, even with multiple baffles, is hardly accurate underway. Backing up information, the same way electronics are a back up to DR. You get that, right? It will all come down to the $$$. It might well be the easy decision. Just want to make it an educated decision.

I get it. Gadgets are cool. Don’t allot of newer not that new either Yamahas have that built into the fancy gauge computed from the engine ??? Maybe you can upgrade to that but that may be more $$. I only had 1 experience with floscan on a buddies boat. It stopped working a few years after he got the boat.

It looks like we are going to put her back together with her original console and no fuel scanning. i may add some LED under gunnel lighting and a new dash with new switches. Even my very experienced, boat builder/glass guru said it wasn't worth doing a major modification to the console... I may put a door in the front of the console for better access, but that may not happen this year. The three of us working on it have had about a month away from it. Well.... I have been doing some research and coming up with dead ends. It has been a solid boat so as long as she gets put back together with everything working, I shall be totally satisfied. The tank had to be replaced. The rest of the list is of the "while we are here..." nature.

Honestly, as long as it purrs at minimum throttle/idle, that is where I spend most of my hours trolling for bait or fishing live bait in close to the bricks. I rarely ever go WOT.

You never get back what you put into a boat. If I put a newer 20k engine in my 10k boat I can’t sell it for 30k. Unfortunately.

Ross, not on a Sea Hunt. My Sea Hunt gauge was dead on. If I was down to half a tank it would take 30 gallons. It was a 60 gallon tank. I owned that boat 7 years and it was always dead on.

No boat, back in the suds.

Very nice offer, Wayne! Love to see if they might fit the bill here!
