I like JJ
He covered Bob Marleys' I shot the sheriff and Eric covered it also.
If you have any of the ol' Okies records, crank em up
Tagger, CREAM how about "Toad"? You ever sit behind the drums and play along with that? I did that many years ago, good stuff. Buddy Rich was the man when I was a kid. My older brother had a lot of good music and he played guitar, about 1978 he was very into Hendrix.
Nowadays, I just like fishing and football. I need to put a cd player out in the shop to crank some tunes up again.
Eric Clapton is awesome, but I'm sorry, Ginger Baker sucks as a drummer !!!
You want to see Clapton with one of the best drummers alive, that would be Steve Gadd !!!

Ginger Baker was drummer of the year in Playboy one year .. if memorie serves me .. Looking at him now I think,, what was the big deal . but that was a long times ago and was even cutting edge. Alot has happened since then .. I remember funk had alot to do with it ,,, drummers got funky .. Then there was fussion ..drummers played off time,, jazz/rock started getting very intteresting ... so many great drummers now ... I like the guy who plays for Dave Mathews .. very tight ,,,he does alot of little things ... very tasteful .. nice back and forth between bass and snare .. some times almost a drum core ..vibe ..
I resemble that old folks remark. S. Gadd is brilliant. Did a lot of east coast studio work. I have been a big fan of Claptons back up guitarist on some of his tours, Albert Lee, very underrated. Claptons is great as much as I don't like to admit it. When I was a little kid my bake out uncle played him non stop in his room at my grandmother's house in the 60's. He still is a big fan.
