I think it is the nature of the media.
as a commentary on that you are right on... I find the comparisons to Jackie O kind of funny, but ultimately, I just don't give a %$%$%$%$. when the news starts talking about the broach she is wearing, I flip to another station.

Misunderstood me, I said it's not the absence of beauty, its the constant angry looks. most of her shots seem angry, and yet the media acts like she's a princess. It's hard to cover hatred with a fake smile, you can always see it in her eyes.

per Paul's logic: Vogue is classless. They commented on Michelle's looks

And using your logic, talking about how attractive someone is (which I assume vogue did or they talked about her dress, etc) is the same as making a serious post stating that someone is unattractive?

Speaking of women and their looks, Jimmy. I think I saw your wife yesterday afternoon and can't help but think that you really married up. Congrats on pulling that off.

That's one of the big differences here, some of us are having fun, while also trying to create conversation on issues. One of the issues is the 'huge set of blinders' the media has on, in matters concerning the Obamas.

I never understood the whole "She's so attractive and a model of style for women over 40."

Now, that Laura Bush... cut me off a piece of that sweet a&%. Mmmmmmm...

I'm in the same boat, too. I get looks all the time when people see me and my wife together. The look is usually "why would she be with that guy?" I hope they think it's because I have a really big dinghy!

Never even saw that.

Larry, I don't need a big boat to 'compensate'

that's actually a looong story involving a moral that basically says 'ask for details before you agree to run a boat for someone'

Me "Where's the boat"
Friend "Out on the mooring"
Me "How do we get it"
friend "I dunno"

what we do for science.

Bssb - clean it up and stop being a tool slash troll slash W.L.B.

Maybe some day we can see a well argued POINT (OK, half-assed even) coming from your fingers instead of these useless trolls.

Spence

I'd agree with Bones that use of the C word isn't very classy under most any circumstances I can think of, and certainly not in a public forum. It would be like Buck dropping the N word.

As much as I think Coulter leaves little to be admired, she's just another smear merchant out to get rich by demeaning others. A fantastic role model she is not...
