You can gaff stripers up there? No gaffing allowed in CT. Well with the computer crash, I've lost my fish pics but I'll get my zip disk later and show you all the one keeper I managed to get some pictures of.

Okay, I tried twice to get the pic to come off the zip drive.

Let me try sending it by putting it in my folder on my hard drive.

This is one of the fish I've caught. Not bad for just starting striper fishing. I've caught better since then but I released them and I didn't have a camera.

Oh God John, that just brought back some horrible memories. I was a pretty late bloomer so my voice sounded just like his. I got called Radar a whole bunch of times. I mean a whole bunch of times and when it wasn't that, I was getting called "Commie Pinko Patrick".

Yep, mostly Irish. My mom is full Irish, third generation and my dad is a smidge Irish but mostly, from what we can tell, English, Dutch and Scottish. In the winter, I'm milk bottle white, in the summer, I don't tan, I just burn. Not to mention the alcohol jokes. My family are the Irish outcasts. My parents still have liquor from their wedding nearly 30 years ago.

No Walters but we do have a few Edwards on my dad's side.

Commie Pinko Patrick comes from my political views. Most people here in my town are republicans. Supposedly, it was supposed to be derogatory but I took it with stride.

Mindi,

10X10 and BM have both posted pics of False Albacore aka, Albies or Alberts.

BM's pic with the flyrod is a Bonito I believe. Note the difference in the stripes. Bonito have wavy lines but the Albie's lines are broken and up on top and much more jagged.

You've heard me talk about them, now you finally got to see them.

Hey guys, I no longer look like Radar! I have a goatee now! Well some chin hair. Makes me look a bit older and the women dig it. Went out putting my resume out and about looking for a job to get money for October. Got checked out by two women. (Much to Mindi's delight )

We already have a ride secured going up there but I need the name of a specific town and some directions since all three of us don't know Rhody too well.

That's my pimping hat. I thought much of the radar stuff came from the military drab get up I was in.

Gotta love a purple fedora with faux leopard trim.

Don't worry, it was from my brother's halloween costume lol.

Oh yeah, M*A*S*H* marathon on FX today. 8 am to 1 am all M*A*S*H*. All the ones with Radar have passed though. Poor Gary Burghoff. Has no career. I think he played the Radar Character quite well and added an integral part to the overall story line. A young man's innocence lost in a the time of war. Sorta has a Red Badge of Courage feel to it.

Now Alan Alda, don't get me started on him. Has his moments but I like the ones where Mike Ferrell was the center of attention. His character had a hook. Family man brought into war.

Although the show was a comedy, it did have it's other moments. Loss of Henry Blake, the madness of Frank Burns, C.E. Winchester having his arrogance leveled time after time. The comoradory and bunching of people who would never have been together being together.

Good show. Too bad it's off the air.

BM,

I think you should give me a 1083. Just so I can give it a try and make sure you aren't overloading it. You know, splintering graphite could hurt your eyes.

Speaking of "Driving over a blank". Those Graphite USA Blanks look really tough. One blank site took pictures or got pictures of a Ford Bronco driving over a Graphite USA stick and the blank didn't break or even distort into an oval.

Pretty impressive.

10x10, I know you mostly do the Flyfishing thingy when you go out. That fine fishy in that picture wasn't on the fly. Was it? That would be too awesome!
