Oh Brother, Where Art Thou
Streets of Fire

He that would make his own liberty secure, must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty, he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself.

Popular music?
Or just really good sountracks?
For the first?
Any and every movie by Warren Miller.
Dazed & Confused.
Those are the compilations.

As far as great soundtracks that actually fit the movie.....
Master & Commander.
Blackhawk Down.
Excalibur (1979; all Wagner.)
Clockwork Orange.
That is my short list of the ones that have to be watched in a dark room with the volume turned all the way up with a sub-woofer
I have a long list too.

Oh Brother,Where Art Thou.
Anything by John Williams BUT......
A lot of his music is based on Gustav Holst.

Songcatcher. The soundtrack pretty much is the movie. Very interesting analysis of the background and roots of American music.

Can't believe I can't get a little love for "The Commitments". here's a couple clips from the flick. The lead singer has that Joe Cocker look about him....and he's only 16.
